A while back, we did a blog post on wedding bands that match with our micro-pave designs. While these styles of rings go hand in hand, finding a perfect match for a three-stone engagement ring might prove more challenging. The look and structure of most three-stone engagement rings do not lend themselves well for eternity bands, however, at Lauren B we are always looking ahead and create all of our rings to sit well with almost any wedding band style you might like. Three-stone rings are a timeless and classic design that truly never go out of style so you should never shy away from them on account of not having a band that will work well with it. On this post, we will explore eternity band options that work well with 3 stone diamond engagement rings from our custom collection
Option 1: Thin Pave Bands
Three-stone rings have a, classy, elegant, and timeless appeal. By pairing a three-stone ring with a pave band you are adding a modern and fun twist to your ring. These thinner bands also tend to sit nicely next to three stone rings that don’t leave space to sit flush. We can custom-create the pave band at any desired millimeter thickness to pair with your design. We take pride in being able to custom create three stone rings that allow for a perfectly flush fit wedding band. This special design takes a lot of precision and time to perfect, and we have it down to a science. Creating space for the band to sit flush allows you to stack in the future, as well with different color and design wedding bands. Another option is to go for an invisible gallery three stone ring so that your pave band is certain to sit flush next to your engagement ring setting. Notice how close they sit together and due to the gallery being completely “invisible”, there is not metal from the setting to get in the wedding band’s way. This is perfect for someone who wants absolutely no airspace between their three-stone engagement ring and wedding band. *Note: For a fun touch, think about adding diamonds on the basket of your three stone ring, such as the ring shown here. This extra detail will perfectly complement the pave band you select and give your wedding rings a cohesive and put together appeal. Option 2: Bright Cut or Channel Set Bands
Bright cut and channel set bands look similar in that they have a smooth edge of metal running along the borders of the ring. Because there is that extra edge of metal, it gives your classic pave look a more traditional feel that works perfectly with the look and feel of a three stone ring. The metal edges on the band will perfectly complement the metal on the engagement ring. Channel set rings also protect your band from abrasions making it a nice safe option. Option 3: Match the Shapes
Depending on the shape of your center stone, we can create a custom wedding band with those diamond shapes to match or something to contrast it. For example, if you have an emerald cut or Asscher cut ring, consider an emerald or Asscher cut eternity band. If you have a round center diamond, consider round diamonds set in a basket setting or U-prong style design for a classic look. These types of bands give a bold look with a lot of sparkle. While they may not sit perfectly flush because of the higher profile setting needed for the eternity band, that should not be a drawback as the sparkle will overtake any space between the rings. This type of band can work on the same hand as your engagement ring, or you can even wear it on a separate hand. See these examples below:
Option 4: Bezel Set Diamond Band
For those that love a more vintage look, opt for a retro-inspired bezel set eternity band. These rings hold each individual diamond in a bezel of metal that encircles that diamond. In this set up we paired a rose gold bezel band with a round cut three-stone ring featuring two round side diamonds, along with rose gold bezel set diamonds along the sides of the shank.
