Here at Lauren B Jewelry, we love hearing all of the different proposal techniques that are used by our clients. Over the years, we have heard some amazing stories, and some of those ideas could be duplicated to help you make your engagement something really special. If you are planning to propose this fall, then consider some of these fabulous fall proposal ideas.
Head to the Pumpkin Patch
At this time of year, there are lots of little local pumpkin patches open. These farms can create the perfect backdrop for a quaint and memorable proposal. Take your love out on a hayride, and show her the ring in a quiet fashion. You could also get lost together in a corn maze, and then drop to a knee to let your love know that she is what you have really been looking for and that you would be lost without her.
The great thing about pumpkin patches is that they are public spaces with lots going on that still allow for some deeply personal moments because of how things are set up. There are a lot of ways to make a meaningful proposal in this setting.
Show How Thankful You Are
When Thanksgiving rolls around, you can combine your excitement to get engaged with your love for your family and other things you are thankful for. Let your beloved know that she is what you are most grateful for by proposing on this holiday when we are meant to think about the most important things in our lives.
Embrace the Fall Foliage
The fall creates the most beautiful and unique color scheme in nature. You can use this natural beauty to your advantage when it comes to proposing. There are a lot of ways to do this. You can go on a hike, plan a camping trip, create a fall photo shoot, or go apple picking.
Doing this will mean that your proposal will always be remembered with striking colors, a crisp feel in the air, and the smell of pumpkin spice wafting around you.
Carve Pumpkins Together
For proposals that happen around Halloween, there are a lot of tactics to take. One of the most classy we have seen is using the old tradition of carving pumpkins. Make a plan to carve some pumpkins together. Tell her that you must both keep your carving designs a secret until the end. When you reveal that you have carved a proposal, there are sure to be happy squeals and possibly tears.
We have seen this idea used in multiple ways, and you can make it work for you depending on what you want. If this is meant to be more personal, then you can do it with just the two of you or with a small group of close friends. If you want more of a spectacle, then hold the event with a large crowd of all your favorite people. It can be as small or as big as you want it to be.
Make a Romantic Dinner
This is most impactful if this is something you don’t do very often. Create some fall-festive items, and have a conversation over dinner about how much you love her and are grateful for her. After you have cleaned up dinner and are sipping cider, you can romantically pull out the ring you have chosen. This is a low-key but very intimate proposal idea that can work any time of year, and is especially romantic with the backdrop of falling leaves.
