This week we’re rolling out a very special blog post focused on the dream engagement ring designs for consultants at Lauren B! During our consultations, it’s normal to be asked what our dream engagement ring design is. Today we’re focusing on our dream Lauren B designs. Keep in mind we have over 500 different ring designs so choosing a favorite is no easy task. Let’s go through our top picks!
Sara’s Dream Engagement Ring: 3 Stone Oval Ring
“My favorite design is a 3 stone featuring a colorless 5 carat elongated oval with half moon or pear shape side stones, all set in platinum. Oval diamonds have a very graceful look on the hand and with longer fingers it is important to think about finger coverage. Ovals tend to show more color so I would up the color for a brighter white look look. Since the oval is a longer cut the half moon side stones will balance out the sides giving a fuller appearance.” For more three-stone oval center engagement rings check them out on our website here
Andrew’s Dream Engagement Ring: Art Deco Designs
Ring: SOR-16257 “My all time favorite style is 1930s Art Deco, like French cuts. I like use of color for contrast and Old European cut round diamonds. The double edge Marquise halo has a super thin shank and a D colorless Marquise cut diamond. There is nothing quite as striking and unique as this shape!
Band: GIR-16410 I call that band the “hurricane” it changes the shape of two rings on the finger completely and is classic but super unique.”
Tony’s Dream Engagement Ring: Invisible Gallery
RS-220 “My favorite ring design is our Invisible gallery with a thin pave band and scarf. I like this with any diamond shape such as round, oval and pear. This design is a very unique and different design. It is cool and special and nobody else does it. It is also a very practical lower set and allows most wedding bands to fit flush.
Take a look at this invisible gallery ring that I made for a client, RS-262. It is a double-band invisible for a pear shown with our “super stackable” wedding band.
Taylor’s Dream Engagement Ring: Antique Cushions and Tsavorites
“I can’t decide! Antique cushion cut diamonds (AKA Old Mine cuts) are my favorite because they have much chunkier, larger facets which reflect light in a more subtle way. There is also a lot of romance in an antique diamonds because of the lack of tools available when it was cut plus the journey it’s taken to be here today. My dream ring is a 5 ct. Old Mine set in 14K yellow gold on a plain square gold band. I’m obsessed with the 5 ct. diamond from this LB ring.
I also made a ring recently for a client and fell head over heels in love with it! The center stone is an elongated Tsavorite cushion surrounded by varying sizes of round brilliant diamonds- kind of like a snowflake. Both are unique and beautiful!”
Lauren’s Dream Engagement Ring: Asscher Cut Diamonds
“This Asscher cut diamond ring has bold and beautiful geometric lines in a timeless design
The endless tiered facets of the Asscher cut diamond represents the 1920’s Art Deco period and reminds me of the famous 30 carat Asscher ‘Krupp Diamond’ engagement ring worn by Elizabeth Taylor.”
Gabby’s Dream Engagement Ring: Radiant Diamond Split
“I like the idea of a beautiful quality stone in a classic design – no frills but plenty of natural brilliance! For the center stone I’d have a 2.5-2.8ct. radiant cut diamond **Preferably E VVS1, Ex Ex ;). For the setting, a plain solitaire 14k yellow gold setting with subtle split, 2mm width.
I’d probably match it with a yellow gold alternating shapes bezel set band or a larger pave band in yellow gold.”
Fabrizio and Aric’s Dream Engagement Ring:
The Classic Round Brilliant
Aric: “Before this design, most six prongs were always very bulky and because people felt it covered too much surface are of the diamond itself. This design, using six thin claw prongs not only makes the center-stone look circular. It also allows the diamond to be seen from the profile. A nice change of pace from the classic/old school 6 prong look. Throw in the delicate band and you have a modern take on a timeless design. I prefer a 1.70 ct range round brilliant for this.”
Fabrizio: “This is a clean, simple and classic design that puts the focus entirely on the center diamond. The band is delicate and would make a 3 carat round brilliant pop perfectly. The 6 prongs showcase the perfect symmetry of the stone as well.”
Ruth’s Dream Engagement Ring: Stacking Diamond Bands
“Finger coverage is most important to me, so my dream engagement ring are two stackable eternity bands above. One emerald cut and one radiant cut for some added sparkle. This feels more exotic to me and gives a bold diamond look.”
Kathryn’s Favorites: Emerald Cut or Elongated Cushion Cut
“Can I pick two?! Always dreamed of having one single diamond on a plain platinum band. Preferably a 3 carat Emerald Cut like the RS-230. Just simple and classic! Next runner up is an elongated cushion cut set with tapered baguettes – also classic but more sparkle!
Eddie’s Dream Engagement Ring: Cushion Cut Halo
” I really like this Lauren B design because it offers the best of everything. It’s very elegant, stylish, attractive, and sits very low to the finger. Most of all, you can still have your wedding band sit flush with it.”
