We are here to give you your morning dose of all things Diamond and Jewelry related.
Advice, tips and tricks, jewelry favorites and q&a’s from your Lauren B Fam!
This morning we’re discussing with four of our LB ring specialists their best piece of advice for clients and individuals first starting the process of looking for an engagement ring.
First up, Kathryn & Courtney
Kathryn’s piece of advice–
Stay true to yourself in this process, don’t worry about what everyone else is getting, or what’s trendy. Don’t get a shape and or size based on what your sister or best friend got… your ring should be what YOU want and we’re here to help you figure out what that is and what works best for you as a couple and signifies your love story and don’t steer away from that.
Courtney’s piece of advice-
Don’t feel pressured to buy beyond your means. A lot of people think that if they don’t get a “d” flawless diamond they aren’t going to get a beautiful stone, which is false. The GIA report is very important but your diamond doesn’t have to be perfect on paper, there are a lot of other factors to consider when buying a diamond such as; millimeter size and cut grade and we’re here to help you with that at Lauren b.
Next up, Gab & Fab:
Gab’s piece of advice–
Consider your lifestyle when you’re choosing the design of your engagement ring. How high or low the ring sits will determine how you wear it everyday. Not only the type of band that you should wear with it, but the size of the center stone that you should be accommodating in that setting.
Fab’s piece of advice-
Don’t overlook finger size! It’s extremely important. Our rings are handmade, so the bands are extremely delicate and comfort fit. They are very rounded on the inside and glide easily over the knuckles when they’re being put on. They do tend to run differently in size than most jewelry stores across the country. If you don’t have the opportunity to work with us in store, and are working with us remotely, if your future fiance goes into another jewelry store to get sized reduce the finger size quote from a quarter to about half a size to make them more accurate with our delicate handmade rings sizing.
