The invisible gallery design is hands down the style we saw skyrocket the most in popularity throughout 2016. Last week on the blog we went over setting heights from low to high and our lowest design is the invisible gallery which sits perfectly flush with the hand. This exclusive design from Lauren B epitomizes the sleek, modern creations we are known for. It has become a fan favorite for endless reasons. This style was created as a lower alternative to our ever popular RS-63 style design and both feature slim bands and the profile detailing people have to come love from a custom Lauren B engagement ring. Essentially we completely eliminated the need for connecting stems that join the basket to the shank, or band, of the ring. The band of the ring arches toward the basket for a clean and minimalist look.
Ring wearers love a lower set design because it does not get in the way of daily activity as easily due to the excess metal elimination. It makes an excellent option for someone who is more active but wants a ring they can enjoy with a more comfortable and less intrusive feeling on the hand. As with all of our engagement rings there are many variations to this style and we will attempt to break them down here. From plain to pave bands, halo to non halos, three row bands and splits, colored gold to white, we can make any custom creation you desire.
Plain Band Solitaire rings are always a classic and time less look. Opting for the invisible gallery top adds a modern twist to an otherwise simple designas this model# RS-226 solitaire design shown to the left. The addition of diamonds along the basket give a peek-a-boo effect that the ring wearer will always enjoy looking at from the profile of the ring. We can do this with a rounded comfort fit band or a more squared off look like the ring shown to the left.
Pave Band For a bit more sparkle but still keeping the look minimal and refined, opt for adding micropave set diamonds along the band such as our model# RS-220 style from our website which can be seen here. This design is one of our original invisible gallery designs featuring an oval center. We love the curving edges of the setting that work so well with the rounded look of an oval center diamond. We find that larger diamonds are very well suited to the invisible gallery because in general, large diamonds sit up higher off the finger. The low setting allows the diamond to still be the center of attention without catching on its surroundings in a concerning way
Halo For our halo lovers we have got you covered 😉 The invisible gallery design features micropave diamonds around the entire perimeter of the center stone for a seamless look. The increased surface area of the center diamond coupled with the low design create the maximum amount of protection for you center gem. If you want even more profile dazzle try adding an extra edge of pave along the halo for an even more glamorous look. See model# RS-269 shown to the right
Three Row Pave Band Calling all RS-126 lovers! Fear not, we can even custom create this design to feature an invisible gallery- check out our new custom ring model# RS-282 design here which features a cushion cut center-stone. This is for those who want to have a 3 dimensional look with diamonds featured on every single side of the band. We absolutely love this glittery custom setting and think it will look amazing paired with an oval, elongated cushion, or round brilliant cut diamond. We have also done this with an oval diamond as well as shown by model# RS-272.
Mixing Metals The two tone or mixed metal trend is underway and we love the combination for an engagement ring. Opt for a white gold halo or basket around the center stone and either yellow or rose gold on the band for a fun and bright look! The contrast of colors gives you center stone a more white and bright appearance that is right on point. This is our model RS-260 design shown to the left: it features a delicate rose gold band paired with a white gold top and pave wrap.
Split Band Dual band styles such as this custom oval engagement ring model RS-262 look amazing paired with the invisible gallery because they give the ring an architectural feel. The overall split band look will take up more space on the hand and is ideal for someone with longer fingers. This particular ring features a tighter split, but for those after a more pronounced look you can opt for a wider split like the 2.6 carat pear shown here on our website.
Three Stone: Three stone rings are the most classic and timeless design. We love the bold appearance of three stone rings which really enhance and complement the center diamond shape. We’ve made three stone rings extra delicate by adding the invisible gallery micropave band. The fusion of the classic design with a modern band is the perfect twist on an otherwise simple design. Here is an oval center with oval sides and additional pave detailing along the band
U Stem Attachment Another added detail we have created for the invisible gallery design is a secondary U-shape attachment. This is a perfect addition if you want the feel the band resting on the top of your finger as opposed to just the diamond. The added U shape attachment gives a little bit of extra sparkle from the profile of the ring and is sure to impress your significant other! Model# RS-273 two-tone oval halo ring from our website shown to the right is the perfect example of a way to incorporate this feature into your invisible gallery style
