Wedding Band Advice: when to purchase, which style and more.

In the search for the perfect engagement ring, people often ask us whether or not it is common to purchase the wedding band at the same time, or separately, closer to the wedding date? While there is no right way of doing it, there are a couple things to keep in mind when shopping for your engagement ring.

It is good to think ahead. Do you want your wedding band to sit perfectly flush against your engagement ring? Would you like it to match perfectly, or would you like to add an artsy twist to your style by doing something different?  Let's talk about it here!

For people who love perfectly matching rings, it is sometimes a good idea to have both rings made at the same time. While a perfect match can also be made at a later time by using your engagement ring, it does tend to make it easier to design both in accordance with each other at the same time. The other option is becoming very common, which is to mix metal colors, or wear a band with a different shape or thickness than your engagement ring. It can add a very unique touch to the overall look while tying together two different designs perfectly. These days, it is easy to get creative with all the options out there.  Designing both rings at the same time makes it an all in one process, but waiting also creates something fun and special you can do together after you are engaged.
