Picking the Perfect Time to Plan your Engagement Proposal

Picking the perfect time to plan your engagement proposal can be as important as choosing the engagement ring itself.  While there is no "perfect time to propose" there are certain periods of the year that are more popular than others.  Keeping the element of surprise is one thing, and choosing the ideal destination is the other.  Let's countdown the five most favored proposal ideas below

Valentine's Day

Surprising enough the day most associated with "love" is last on our list of most popular proposal days.  Aside from being cliche for many people, this may also be attributed  to the fact that it is expected. It can ruin the element of surprise.  Nonetheless, this is still a time of the year when our clients plan to get engaged. Instead of a bouquet of roses, you can give them a gorgeous custom Lauren B ring!

Anniversary or Birthday

What better way to celebrate an anniversary or birthday than by marking it with a beautiful proposal.  These are already celebrated times and easy days to remember in the future. Adding another momentous occasion to it will only add to the fun.

Vacation Getaways

While there is no set time of the year where vacations are planned, any time you can have the opportunity to take your loved one away from their daily routine provides a great chance for a surprise proposal.  The destination choices are endless and some favor a romantic backdrop like the Eiffel Tower in Paris, whereas others opt for the classic ocean-side proposal.  Travelling with your engagement ring to another country can add a little stress to the situation but there are many different ways to hide your ring as you pass through airport customs; we recommend keeping the ring in a small envelope, or baggy, and keeping it on your person.  As with any jewelry purchase insurance is recommended in the small chance the ring gets misplaced or stolen.

Summer Time

As the weather heats up around the United States, so do the amount of engagement proposals.  The warmer temperatures and sunny skies already add an element of joy. Ringing it in with a proposal just takes it to another level.  Many of our clients choose this rime of year because it is a good time to get away from work and take your significant other on a magical trip.  Within these summer months we find that July 4th and  Labor Day holidays are the "most proposed" days

Winter Holiday Time

Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah and New Years times are certainly the most celebrated of engagement proposal times.  This is a time of the year when people are around their families and loved ones.  You get the opportunity to share this special moment with those closest to them.  In addition, these are times of giving and what better gift than the perfect engagement ring? The snow-flakes or famous ball drop on New Years can act as great backdrop for when you are ready to pop the question.  Lastly, these times of years are usually when you have a chance to take days off from your work schedule and allows you an extra couple of days to execute the perfect proposal.
