Considering a Large Eternity Band?

Considering a Large Eternity Band?

Are you considering a large eternity band? At Lauren B you know we absolutely love sparkle!  We have recently added tons of new large eternity bands to our collection!  We know these large eternity bands can look intimidating since they definitely pack a sparkly punch. Read on to learn more about who these special eternity bands will work best for!

With a large eternity band your ring is sure to stand out from the rest.  When we refer to large eternity bands we mean that these large bands are NOT pave set. They are prong set or a U shape setting. In this style you do achieve a more pronounced look from each diamond. The only downside that comes with a large eternity band is that it can be hard to pair with an engagement ring. They stand up taller and will sometimes not sit flush with any ring.  Our most popular engagement rings styles have very thin dainty bands (about 1.7mm in thickness) In contrast, large eternity bands will have the diamonds that are more protruding.

To see our point, check out this stunning and brand new basket set eternity band set in rose gold with a total of 3 carats of diamonds. When you look from the profile of the ring notice the diamonds are set higher up. In contrast, take a look at this pave set eternity band. The pave set is more low profile on the hand and can pair easier with an engagement ring.

Practicality

We have lots of clients who work with their hands on a daily basis. Wearing an engagement ring to work and day to day life means they would have one larger stone protruding from their hand at all times. This is not necessarily always practical or safe. If you are someone who actively works with your hands or puts gloves on all the time, then a larger eternity band is an amazing choice. Instead of worrying about one stone sitting high up off your finger you would have an equal amount of smaller stones all around the finger for a comfortable feel. This eliminates the chance of your larger center stone catching on things and makes for a more pleasant ring wearing experience.

Large Eternity Band as a Right Hand Ring

When it comes to engagement rings and eternity bands we have to tell you that you do NOT need to wear ayour rings on one hand only! If your engagement ring  has a thin pave band you should definitely consider a larger band for the right hand. This means you would have tons of sparkle and bling on BOTH hands instead of crowding all your rings onto one hand. By also giving yourself the option of wearing a larger eternity band on a separate you can play with the idea of mixing metal colors. For an amazing option check out this U Shape diamond eternity band set in rose gold

Moissanite eternity band

By adding in the large diamond band in rose gold you get amazing sparkle from the diamonds. The added pop of colors creates a new dimension for all your jewelry.

Travel

A large diamond eternity band makes an amazing travel ring.  When you travel you want your jewelry to be a bit more understated and practical to wear. If you opt to take a wedding band only on a trip with you, the distribution of carat weight goes across the wedding band instead of all concentrated to the center stone. This makes it less conspicuous and ultimately a less expensive ring to travel with.

Note: A large eternity band does not mean you are limited to only working with diamonds. Check out our gorgeous moissanite eternity bands featuring large stone settings. To learn more about our moissanite eternity bands click here
